Update 4/1/2020:

Saints Avenue Bank is providing this information as a service to its clients. The bank has received numerous inquiries this past week about the various government programs. The following is brief summary of the programs.


The Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act (the CARES Act) was signed into law this past Friday, March 27th. The act includes a provision for Small Business Administration (SBA) loans to businesses meeting certain criteria.


The SBA’s Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) program provides small businesses with working capital loans of up to $2 million that can provide vital economic support to small businesses to help overcome the temporary loss of revenue due to COVID-19. Applications for EIDL loans are done directly through the SBA ( Applicants can receive a $10,000 Emergency Grant upon completion of the application. The grant is not tied to the EIDL loan or its approval.


The CARES Act introduces a new SBA loan program called the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) ( This is an economic relief program to provide access to capital for businesses negatively impacted by the COVID-19 Pandemic. The PPP loan covers two months of payroll and benefit expenses as well as some operating expenses. Program details can be obtained through the Treasury website.  These loans will be originated through SBA 7(a) lenders, including Saints Avenue Bank. The loan underwriting rules (application process and documentation requirements) are outlined on the Information Sheet for Borrowers.  The application process starts April 3, 2020.

If your business needs immediate cash, we are advising our clients to apply for the EIDL loan to receive the $10,000 grant.

Our New London, Hannibal, and Center, MO branches remain open for drive-up transactions only.  If you need access to other services, such as your safe deposit box, please notify the branch associate at the drive-up and they will assist you.  As our St. Charles, MO branch has no drive-up, please call ahead to schedule an appointment to conduct business in that location.

Update 3/17/2020:

Effective Wednesday, March 18, Saints Avenue Bank will temporarily utilize drive-thru service only in our northeast Missouri branches until further notice as we take Coronavirus (COVID-19) precautions. Since our St. Charles, Missouri branch does not have drive-thru services, that lobby will remain open at this time.  We will continue to monitor the situation and evaluate our operations accordingly.

We expect the increased traffic in our drive-thru lanes may cause longer wait times and apologize for the inconvenience. 

Ensuring the health and safety of our clients and associates is of upmost priority. We appreciate your patience as we continue to serve you through all reasonable avenues to the best of our ability.
