How can I activate my debit card?

  • You may activate your card by calling the phone number listed on the sticker of the new card 1-800-992-3808, using your card at a Saints Avenue Bank ATM, or by contacting your local branch. Specific branch details can be located from the homepage by clicking “Menu - Locations”.

How can I block or unblock my debit card?

  • Contact your local branch to block or unblock a debit card. Specific branch details can be located from the homepage by clicking “Menu - Locations”. Or, Card Valet may be downloaded from your app store. Card Valet gives cardholders the ability to manage settings on their own cards.

How do I close my debit card?

  • Contact your local branch to close. Specific branch details can be located from the homepage by clicking “Menu - Locations”.

Debit Card Alerts and Limits:

How do I set up alerts to track my debit card and account activity?

  • There are a few ways to set up alerts and track debit card and account activity. First, sign into our online banking to manage alerts. From the main left-hand menu, click “Settings - Alerts”. From the drop-down menu, choose the type of alert (Date, Account, History, or Online Transaction Alert) and follow the prompts to set and save each type of alert as requested. How can I determine or adjust my debit card limits?

  • Contact your local branch for details about your debit card limits, to request a temporary limit change, or request a permanent limit change. Specific branch details can be located from the homepage by clicking “Menu - Locations”.

Debit Card Fees:

Are there any fees when requesting a replacement debit card?

  • Yes, when a debit card is replaced for any reason other than fraud, there is a $5.00 replacement fee per card.

Are there any fees for using an ATM?

  • When a Saints Avenue Bank debit card is used at an ATM on Saints Avenue Bank’s network, there is no fee. When a Saints Avenue Bank debit card is used at a non-network ATM, there is a $1.00 in addition to the fee charged by the ATM provider. For non-Saints Avenue Bank debit cards used at one of our network ATM’s, there is a $3.00 charged, in addition to any fee charged by the card provider. There may also be a fee to check your balance, even if a transaction is not completed but should be disclosed prior to completing the request.

Are there any transaction fees for using my debit card?

  • There are no debit card fees from Saints Avenue Bank when the debit card is used domestically. If the debit card is used internationally, fees will apply. See our fee schedule within our disclosures for the most current pricing.

How can I file a dispute?

Can I dispute a transaction on my old Shazam Debit Card?

  • Yes, contact your local branch to process a claim. Specific branch details can be located from the homepage by clicking “Menu - Locations”.

What should I do if my debit card is lost or stolen?

  • During branch hours, contact your local branch. Specific branch details can be located from the homepage by clicking “Menu - Locations”. After branch hours, call 1-800-472-3272.

Debit Card Personal Identification Number (PIN):

How do I set my debit card PIN?

  • Call the number listed on the sticker on the front of the card to set your PIN. If you’ve already removed the sticker, you may set your PIN by calling 1-800-992-3808. You may also set your PIN by using one of our Saints Avenue Bank ATM’s.

What should I do if my PIN isn’t working?

  • Contact your local branch to determine the issue. Specific branch details can be located from the homepage by clicking “Menu - Locations”. If your PIN needs to be reset, please call 1-800-992-3808.

Is there a difference between signing a receipt and using my PIN to authorize debit card transactions?

  • Whether you sign or use your PIN, there is no difference in how much you are charged. If you select debit, you will use your PIN and enter it in on the merchant keypad. If you select credit, you may be required to sign your receipt to authorize the purchase. A signature may not be required for certain transactions such as internet, mail order, and pay-at-the-pump gas purchases. Your options may differ depending on the merchant.

What is a chip card?

  • A chip card is a standard-size plastic debit card that contains an embedded microchip as well as the traditional magnetic strip. A chip encrypts information to help increase data security when making transactions at terminals or ATM’s that are chip enabled.

How is a debit card different from a credit card?

  • A debit card can be used in the same way as a credit card anywhere that accepts VISA or Mastercard. However, the purchase will be deducted from your Saints Avenue Bank account, rather than a line of credit.

Can I link more than one account to my debit card?

  • Yes, more than one account may be linked to a debit card. However, there may only be one primary checking account number for purchases. The other account number would be available for withdrawals from an ATM only.

I receive multiple debit cards in the mail. How do I know which account my debit card belongs to?

  • Contact your local branch to differentiate multiple cards. Specific branch details can be located from the homepage by clicking “Menu - Locations”.
